Year 5 Civil Engineering Workshop Universidad Politécnica de Valencia

Our Year 5 students went to the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, more specifically to the School of Civil Engineers where they had the chance to participate in three different workshops. First of all the students learnt about some of the common tasks civil engineers are required to do. Then they were able to put into practice all their knowledge building Leonardo da Vinci’s self-supporting bridge, making small concrete figures and learning how dams can protect certain areas against the impact of waves. We believe this is a fantastic way for our students to learn about careers they don’t know much about.
