Inset Day – Staff Training

As part of our commitment to deliver ongoing professional development, last Friday at British School of Valencia we hosted our first Inset Day for both teaching and non-teaching staff.

Guy Claxton was in charge of leading the teachers training. He is considered one of the most outstanding British thinkers in the fields of creativity, education and human mind and has dedicated much of his professional life to teaching and researching the psychology of learning.

Non-teaching staff participated in a GDPR session led by our Data Protection Coordinator, Laura Oliver, as well as Justine Brown, Head of Educational Compliance Spain.

This first Inset Day held at BSV concluded with a group activity with the instructors of the Valencian Institute of Self-Defence (IVAD), an organisation dedicated to personal growth through self-defence that showed different basic self-protection exercises to all the staff.
