Awards for Academic Excellence
From our beginnings, we have prided ourselves in offering our pupils the chance to study a foreign language from a very early age and in a unique school environment, in addition to first rate personal and academic education. It is a given that to ensure the latter it is important, or even essential, to count on the commitment and willingness of the pupils themselves, particularly in their final years at school. For some time now the school has aimed to acknowledge and award the academic efforts, commitment and achievements of many of our pupils.
Since the 2008-09 academic year, when the 1st Excellence Awards were held, the British School of Valencia aims to acknowledge the effort, hard work and excellent academic results achieved over the school year.
These awards are aimed at the pupils in Year 11 and Year 12. On the one hand these awards aim to recognised the academic merits of pupils both internally within the school and externally in the educational community as a whole, on our website and in specialised media communication. On the other hand, the award is accompanied by a scholarship grant equivalent to a 50% reduction of the annual school fee for ‘academic education’ applied monthly from September to June of the academic year immediately following the granting of the award. Award winners will be notified in the period between the final week of August and first week of September, once the final IGCSE or GCE marks have been officially published.
