The British School of Valencia provides a dining room service to all families who wish their children to eat at school. The school has two independent dining rooms especially adapted to the needs of the different ages catered for in each section (timetables, menus, human resources etc.) Presently, 80% of pupils use this service.

The dining room functions in a way which allows pupil’s experience of dinners at school to be as pleasant as possible, not forgetting the educational aspect while providing a balanced, healthy diet. It is our aim to foment correct social behaviour and habits at the dinner table, encouraging the younger pupils to eat correctly and independently as far as possible.

Menus are made up by specialist nutritionists and are supervised by the school. Here, we always look for variety, quality and balance. Menus are punctually sent home to parents with a view to coordinating a balanced diet at home.

In order to cover all the dietary needs of our students,: normal and infant, diet, plain for pupils with stomach complaints and another for pupils with allergies (to dairy products, fish , cereals etc). The choice of one menu or another must always be preceded by a note from parents.

Pupils are not allowed to bring their own food from home (except morning/afternoon snack).

Entry into the dining room will be carried out in an orderly fashion. All pupils (especially the younger years-Foundation Stage) are accompanied by their teachers from their classrooms or the playground to the corresponding dining room area. The same procedure applies to the exit from the dining room.

The dining room timetable is the same every day and lasts, depending on the age of the pupils varies between 30 and 45 minutes. Times that each stage enter the dining are as follows:
