Registration of a student at the school implies knowledge and acceptance by the parents and, as appropriate, the student of the working and behavioural norms of the centre. At the British School of Valencia our demands are high, academically and in relation to behaviour, respect and discipline, and our students must be able to develop to their full potential within the academic environment provided by the school.

Pre-Nursery, Nursery & Reception

Requirements for admission of students in Pre-Nursery, Nursery and Reception include presentation of the registration forms provided by the school and the necessary personal documentation. Admission preference is given to the siblings of students at the centre.

Key Stage 1

Students in Key Stage 1 must have knowledge of English, in addition to the registration forms and the required personal documentation. In the case of Year 2 and Year 3, students will sit an English and Mathematics test and must include student records from the previous school with the required documentation.

Key Stage 2

Students in Key Stage 2 must also present the registration forms, the necessary personal documentation and student records from the previous school. The following are required for new students in this stage:

• Aptitude test in English and Mathematics.
• Personal interview with the student.
• Student records from the previous school. If it is a British centre, results from the official SATS exams taken at the end of Key Stage 1.
• Psychopedagogical report, if appropriate.

Key Stage 3 & 4

Students in Key Stages 3 & 4 must also present the registration forms, the necessary personal documentation and student records from the previous school. The following are required for new students in this stage:

• Aptitude test in English and Mathematics.
• Personal interview with the student.
• Student records from the previous school. If it is a British centre, results from the official SATS exams in English and Mathematics taken at the end of Key Stage 2 (Year 6) and/or Key Stage 3 (Year 9).
• Psychopedagogical report, if appropriate.
